Event Director Stacy Giacchi Herr

​Growing up with her father, Chef John, Stacy learned quickly that food and love go together. Stacy recognized her love for celebrations as a young child watching her grandfather prepare for summer cookouts, or her parents host Christmas Eve for family and friends every year.  She was introduced to the concept that life, and all of it's moments, should be celebrated whenever possible, and it's a motto that she continues to live by.  

​Stacy began her hospitality career working on a cruise ship, and later working in the non-profit and museum sectors as an event planner and fundraiser.  With 15 years of event planning experience from gala's to golf tournaments, corporate events to weddings, Stacy is confident and comfortable managing all aspects of the event world.

Chef John learned at an early age that food and love go together.  Growing up in a large extended Italian family, every meal was a labor of love, from the simplest potato or asparagus frittata to the five course Sunday family dinner.  During the week, mom prepared meals the same way her mother did in Teano, Italy, and on the weekends, Dad would take over, adding his unique Sicilian touch.

Young John was ever present in the kitchen and took his early learning to new culinary heights, earning his culinary degree from The Center of Culinary Arts.  He furthered his formal training, earning the “Certified Professional in Catering and Events” distinction from the National Association for Catering and Events. 

Today, On The Spot Catering fulfills a lifelong dream of Chef John’s: to create a unique, intimate experience for his clients and his guests, reminiscent of his early days immersed in love, food, and of course, the love of food!
