Chef John learned at an early age that food and love go together. Growing up in a large extended Italian family, every meal was a labor of love, from the simplest potato or asparagus frittata to the five course Sunday family dinner. During the week, mom prepared meals the same way her mother did in Teano, Italy, and on the weekends, Dad would take over, adding his unique Sicilian touch. Young John was ever present in the kitchen and took his early learning to new culinary heights, earning his culinary degree from The Center of Culinary Arts. He furthered his formal training, earning the “Certified Culinarian” distinction from the American Culinary Federation, and the “Certified Professional in Catering and Events” distinction from the National Association for Catering and Events. Chef John is currently the only one in CT to hold both certifications.
